glasses of Meadowbank Harvest Sparkling on an outdoor table

MEADOWBANK

Ethereal-style wines, stewarded by the Ellis family in the Derwent Valley. When Gerald Ellis planted vines on his sheep farm in 1976, conventional wisdom said you couldn’t grow grapes in the cold wilderness of southern Tasmania. Today, Meadowbank is a pioneering vineyard, rooted in stewardship, family, and a touch of mischief.

From defiant origins and now with purposeful intent, alongside celebrated winemaker Peter Dredge, the team grows and crafts wines that capture the essence of place, the patience of time, and the boldness of vision.
