One day, eight days, a little VIP treatment or a very big New Year's Eve. There's a ticket for however you plan to do Taste.
Golden Ticket
For those who know one day isn't going to cut it. Your Golden Ticket includes unlimited entry across all eight days, access to the VIP Yacht Club and a ticket to the New Year's Eve Party.
Please note: Yacht Club access is not included during the NYE Party.
Taste Pass
Eight days. One pass. No need to rush.
Your Taste Pass gives you entry across all eight days of the festival, so you can take your time exploring the food, drinks, music and everything else happening on the waterfront.
Please note: The Taste Pass does not include entry to the NYE Party.
New Year's Eve Party
See out 2026 on Hobart's waterfront with The Potbelleez featuring Muma Megs, Furnace & The Fundamentals, Track & Field, Tasmanian musicians and DJs, and two rounds of fireworks.
Your NYE ticket includes entry from 6pm until 1.30am on 31 December.
Day Pass
Coming for a day? This one's for you. A Day Pass gives you entry on one eligible festival day, so you can come hungry, stay a while and see where the afternoon takes you.
The Tasman Yacht Club
A little something extra. Settle into Taste's premium waterfront space, with dedicated seating and bar facilities away from the main festival crowds.
Yacht Club entry is available in ticketed sessions, subject to availability. Yacht Club access is not available during the NYE Party.
Children's Entry
Children aged 15 and under can enter Taste free of charge when accompanied by a parent or guardian. Yacht Club entry is not included.
For the NYE Party, children aged six and under enter free, while children aged seven and over require a ticket.
City of Hobart Community Day
Join us on 31 December from 12 noon to 4pm for a free community celebration on the waterfront, presented in partnership with the City of Hobart.
The site will close at 4pm before reopening at 6pm for the separately ticketed NYE Party.

There's plenty to discover beyond the stalls.
From intimate tastings and conversations with winemakers to pop-up dining and hands-on masterclasses, Taste Experiences offer a chance to get a little closer to the people, produce and stories behind Tasmania's food and drink.
Some experiences require separate bookings and have limited places, so it's worth planning ahead if something catches your eye.
Please note: Ticketed Taste Experiences also require a valid festival entry ticket.
The full 2026/27 Taste Experiences program and booking information will be announced soon.

We could have kept New Year's Eve simple. We didn't.
The Potbelleez are taking over the Main Stage with Muma Megs, Furnace & The Fundamentals will lead us towards midnight, and Track & Field is on countdown duties, alongside a full line-up of Tasmanian musicians, DJs and entertainers.
There'll be fireworks at 9.30pm and midnight, plenty to eat and drink, and a few thousand people on the waterfront seeing out 2026.
Oh, and the theme is Space Cowboy.
Boots. Glitter. Stars. Hats of questionable proportions. Take it as far as you like.
31 December 2026 from 6pm – 1.30am
New Year's Eve is a separately ticketed event. General festival passes do not include NYE entry unless you hold a Golden Ticket.
Gates open at 6pm. We'll take it from there.
-
A little something for everyone before the clock strikes midnight.
Join us on Thursday 31 December for a free afternoon on the waterfront, presented in partnership with the City of Hobart.
Bring the family, enjoy the food and entertainment, and settle in for a few hours of summer before we prepare for the evening celebrations.
31 December from 12 noon – 4pm
Entry is free during Community Day. The site closes at 4pm and reopens at 6pm for the separately ticketed New Year's Eve Party.
-
You'll find us at Princes Wharf No. 1, just a short walk from Salamanca Place and around five minutes from Hobart's CBD. The main entrance is on Morrison Street, opposite Parliament House Gardens.
-
Getting to Taste is fairly straightforward. Getting home after a long afternoon of eating and drinking might require a little more planning.
Park and Ride
Park for free at the Regatta Grounds and a free shuttle bus will transfer you and your passengers to the city or waterfront.
Walking and Cycling
If you're staying nearby, walking is probably your easiest option. Bike parking is available in the Morrison Street car park.
Public Transport
Metro Tasmania operates bus services throughout Hobart, with the Hobart City Interchange on Macquarie Street within walking distance of Taste.
Plan your journey using the Metro Tasmania website.
Ferry
Coming from the Eastern Shore? Consider catching the ferry across the Derwent and making the waterfront part of the journey.
Check the Derwent Ferries timetable before travelling.
Parking
Parking is available in and around Hobart's CBD, although spaces can be limited during the busy summer period.
We recommend allowing extra time, particularly on New Year's Eve. Check the City of Hobart website for parking information and any special event arrangements.
E-Scooters
E-scooters are not permitted inside Taste. Please park them in designated areas outside the event site and keep pedestrian pathways clear.
-
A few roads around the waterfront will be doing things a little differently while Taste is in town.
Temporary road closures and traffic changes may apply during the festival, particularly on New Year's Eve. If you're driving into Hobart, we recommend checking the latest arrangements before leaving home and allowing a little extra travel time.
Full road closure details for the 2026/27 festival will be published once confirmed.
For updates, visit the City of Hobart website here.

It's Tasmania. Four seasons in one day isn't entirely out of the question.
Taste is an all-weather event, so we'll be here rain or shine unless conditions become unsafe.
Bring a jacket, check the forecast and dress for whatever the day has in store. If severe weather affects the event, we'll share updates through our website and social media channels.
-
If you need medical assistance during Taste, our first aid team is here to help.
For minor injuries or medical concerns, visit the first aid station near the site exit or ask a member of our team for assistance.
In an emergency, call 000 immediately.
-
Little Tasters are welcome too.
A dedicated parenting room is available on Salamanca Lawns near the children's area, with additional baby change facilities located in the accessible toilets inside Princes Wharf No. 1.
If you need help finding anything, ask our team at the Information Booth.
-
Leave the cash at home. Bring your card.
Taste is a cashless event, with electronic payments accepted across our food and drink vendors and bars.
-
Find somewhere to sit. Stay a while.
There's plenty of seating throughout Taste, whether you're settling in for lunch, catching some live music or simply giving your feet a break.
Seating is generally unreserved and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
If you're after something a little more exclusive, The Tasman Yacht Club offers a premium waterfront space with dedicated seating and bar facilities. Separate tickets are required.
-
We love dogs. Just not at Taste.
For the comfort and safety of everyone attending, pets aren't permitted inside the festival, with the exception of recognised assistance animals.
Best leave your four-legged friends at home for this one.
-
Taste is a smoke-free and vape-free event.
Smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere inside the festival site. If you need to step outside, please use the designated exit and speak with our gate staff about re-entry.
-
Taste is an all-ages event, with plenty for everyone to enjoy.
Alcohol can only be purchased and consumed by people aged 18 and over. Valid photo identification may be requested at bars, so please bring yours if you plan on having a drink.
Our bar staff practise responsible service of alcohol, and we ask everyone to drink responsibly.
-
Good food. Good company. A little less waste.
We're lucky to call Tasmania home, and we'd quite like to keep it looking the way it does.
