Chinese dumplings, folded by hand by Hellen. Hellen was born in Sichuan, China, where spice is a way of life, and learned the art of dumpling-making from her father, a skilled chef. Trained in hospitality in Switzerland and seasoned in international kitchens, she now calls Clarence home, bringing her craft to the streets of Hobart.
At Taste of Summer, Hellen cooks each dumpling on-site: tender pork with spring onion or Chinese cabbage, juicy pork and prawn, and a vegetarian option with zucchini and eggs. Seasonal treats include chilled rice noodles for a fresh summer hit and golden-fried meatballs with punchy, house-made sauces.
